The Black Rhino

The black rhinoceros is on the verge of extinction. Their color is either grey, brown or white.

They live in Angola,Kenya,Tanzania,Camaroon,South Africa,Namibia and Zimbabwe.

They use the same trails as elephants do to forage for food and water.

They live solitarily, only coming together to mate.

Black rhinos eat mostly woody plants.

Male rhinos mark their territories by spraying urine and scattering feces by rotating their tails.

Their eyesight is very poor but their hearing and smell are very sharp.

They are killed for their horns that can be used for medicine.

We can help them by stopping poachers.

They have two horns and are good chargers.

They are hunted by lions, crocodiles and hyenas.

These are not really black!

They are also known as The Hooked Lip Rhino.

They have huge bodies.

They are fierce when startled and can run very fast.

They can weigh a ton.

They can be frightened.

Their horns are prized.

They are very peaceful.

We should help them.
